OUR FEE AND PAYMENT POLICY

GlobeSage Travel offers fully customized travel consulting services, planning your itinerary from beginning to end. Our consulting fees vary and will be determined upon initial consultation. 50% of the consulting cost will be due at the time of planning agreement. This portion is non-refundable and covers our research time and creation of the initial draft itinerary. The remaining 50% will be charged upon client approval of the final itinerary, prior to booking of all travel suppliers. Once all suppliers have been confirmed, this consulting fee is non-refundable, even in the unfortunate circumstance that plans are cancelled or the itinerary is not fulfilled for any reason.

Clients are responsible for knowing the daily charge limit on their credit cards.

Client understands and acknowledges that, in performing its duties, GlobeSage Travel will request and use the client’s credit card or other payment information to facilitate travel arrangements. Client consents to GlobeSage Travel’s use of such information on behalf of client.

TRAVEL QUOTES

Prices and availability are accurate at the time of quote, however they are not guaranteed and are subject to change until the trip is paid in full. Pricing and availability may change without notice. The client agrees that GlobeSage Travel is not responsible for any errors or omissions in any quotes or advertisements resulting in inventory, content, or pricing discrepancies nor is GlobeSage Travel responsible for any errors or omissions that may occur as a result of incorrect information from third parties. Suppliers reserve the right not to honor any published prices that were erroneous due to  electronic, printing, or clerical error. You acknowledge this right and agree to hold GlobeSage Travel harmless for any actions or damages arising from Supplier pricing.

PRICING QUOTES DO NOT INCLUDE: Airline baggage charges, seat assignment fees or other ancillary fees, passport and visa fees, some departure taxes, gratuities, meals, beverages, resort fees, hotel energy surcharges, laundry service, and other miscellaneous charges of a personal nature are not included in our quoted fees, except where specifically noted.

TRIP DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENTS

For vacation packages with suppliers that allow a deposit to hold a reservation, clients should be aware of the payment schedule required by the suppliers. Suppliers generally hold reservations until “Deposit Due Date” indicated on written quote. If deposit/payment is not received on or before the Deposit Due Date, reservations are automatically cancelled. Failure to remit payments on a timely basis will automatically put your booking at risk of cancellation. Please contact GlobeSage Travel immediately, and in advance of your payment due date, if you will be unable to meet this obligation.

The final payment MUST be received by the communicated due date. Final payments are not automatically charged. We will email you reminders for your final payments, but guests are ultimately responsible for ensuring their final balance is paid by the due date. GlobeSage Travel is not responsible for cancellations due to payments made after this date. Late fees may apply. Final payments not received prior to the due date above will incur a $50 per person late fee. All reservations are subject to cancellation and hotel penalties as described above if final payment is not received on the due date. Late fees are not covered by the travel insurance and are always non-refundable.

TRAVEL SUPPLIERS

GlobeSage Travel offers travel services to clients which are provided by separate and independent vendors of travel services. GlobeSage Travel does not operate, control, or otherwise provide the services of the independent travel vendors. GlobeSage Travel acts only as agent for the client in acquiring transportation, hotel accommodations, sightseeing, and other privileges, or services for the client’s benefit. GlobeSage Travel shall not be responsible for any operating failures, loss, damage,  accident, injury, delay, defect, omission or irregularity which may occur or be occasioned, whether by reason of any act, negligence or default of any company or person engaged in or responsible for carrying out any of the arrangements, or otherwise in connection therewith or may arise out of or during your scheduled travel.

In the event an airline or travel vendor declares bankruptcy, it is not obligated to carry you or to provide funds. Payment through GlobeSage Travel immediately becomes the property of the airline or travel vendor as required by law. GlobeSage Travel is not allowed to provide refunds for vendors who have declared bankruptcy.

The client understands that GlobeSage Travel can make requests on behalf of the client regarding bedding configuration, general preferences, room location, meals, etc., but these requests cannot be guaranteed and are often beyond our control.

PRIVATE LODGING RENTALS. GlobeSage Travel understands that clients may want to rent independently owned vacation rentals (e.g. AirBNB, VRBO, StayAlfred, etc.). As GlobeSage Travel is unable to fully vet these properties or their owners, the client, if they choose to rent from one of these entities, agrees to hold harmless GlobeSage Travel should any issues arise. We also recommend the client consider having a back-up plan in case of host cancellation.

TRAVELER DOCUMENTATION & RESPONSIBILITIES

The client is responsible to check itinerary/invoice information upon receipt and verify that all information is correct. While we make every effort to get the details right, we will not be responsible for omissions or errors if not brought to our attention immediately.

The client is responsible for reading the provided pre-trip information material and bringing with you all the appropriate documentation, clothing and equipment, arriving at the airport at an appropriate time before boarding, as well as acting in accordance with the customs and laws of the regions visited.

Transportation Security Administration requires travelers to carry a government issued identification card in order to board a flight. The name, date of birth and gender on identification must exactly match the same such data that is listed on airline ticket and in booking records. Failure to strictly comply with these requirements may result in denied boarding or an undue delay at an airport security checkpoint causing a missed flight. For details on the REAL ID Act being enforced in the USA as of October 1, 2021, visit https://www.dhs.gov/real-id.

A valid, unexpired US Passport is required for international travel. A passport is required for ALL travelers, including children and infants. A Passport BOOK is required for international travel by air (not passport CARD). Passports must be valid for six months past your return date. All names on documents must match the legal name on the photo ID used for each trip (e.g., driver’s license for domestic travel and passport for international travel) and all travel document information must match  tickets.

It is the responsibility of the client to provide GlobeSage Travel with the correct names and dates of birth of all travelers prior to booking airline tickets. Further, GlobeSage Travel is not responsible for the issuance of travel identification such as passports and/or visas.

Some countries require a visa for transit or entry. While GlobeSage Travel does its best to advise passengers of required documents, it is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure that they have all the proper documents for entry. Please check the State Department website at http://travel.state.gov for further information. Immunizations may also be required. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in denied boarding, denied entry, and/or government-imposed fines. If you are a citizen of another country, there may be additional requirements. Check with the nearest consulate or embassy of your destination and find out the entry requirements for non-U.S. citizens.

Passengers with prior criminal convictions are responsible for ensuring that they are not restricted by the laws of the country to which they are traveling. For example: Passengers with DUI/DWI convictions may be prohibited from traveling to Canada. Passengers traveling without proper documentation or meeting destination requirements may be denied boarding or entry to an international destination and will not be entitled to a refund.

You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s). You hereby release GlobeSage Travel from all claims arising out of any problem covered in this paragraph. You agree that the courts in San Bernardino County, California will be the exclusive jurisdiction for all claims  brought by you or GlobeSage Travel, and you hereby submit to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Please refer to the US State Department website (www.travel.state.gov) for current travel advisories and warnings. Refer to this website for worldwide terrorist alerts: https://bit.ly/2kwGjDW. For information concerning other possible dangers at destinations, GlobeSage Travel recommends contacting the Travel Warnings Section of the U.S. State Department at (202) 647-5225 or www.travel.state.gov. For medical information, GlobeSage Travel recommends contacting the Centers for Disease Control at (877) FYI-TRIP or www.cdc.gov/travel.

TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN

Children under 18 years of age not traveling with both parents or legal guardian(s) may need to present a notarized letter from the absent parent/guardian granting permission to travel outside the United States and provide emergency medical care if necessary. GlobeSage Travel is not responsible for lack of compliance to provide proper documentation to airport authorities. It is the responsibility of the traveler and the traveler’s parents/guardians to provide proper documentation to airport authorities.

TRAVEL PROTECTION

The client assumes and understands that there is a risk involved with travel and travel activities and/or excursions. GlobeSage Travel strongly recommends the use of travel protection insurance to cover certain risks inherent in travel such as supplier bankruptcy, trip interruption and/or the inability to travel due to a medical or personal emergency. GlobeSage Travel recommends promptly purchasing a travel insurance policy after booking in order to maximize the benefits of the policy.  GlobeSage Travel may offer travel protection insurance as part of an overall travel package quote. The client acknowledges that they have been informed about purchasing travel protection insurance and, in the event they choose to deny such coverage, will not hold GlobeSage Travel responsible. Travelers who opt out of insurance coverage will be asked to sign a waiver indicating that they decline coverage. This waiver must be received by GlobeSage Travel before the reservation can be completed.

HOLD HARMLESS

GlobeSage Travel has no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the Suppliers, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel. Client agrees and understands that GlobeSage Travel is not responsible for any damages, direct or consequential, which may arise as a result of acts of God, social or labor unrest, war, political or national strike, terrorist activities, mechanical failures, climatic conditions or any other  actions or omissions beyond GlobeSage Travel’s control.

It is the client’s (primary traveler’s) responsibility to inform and gain the authorization to accept the terms and conditions listed here on behalf of all accompanying travelers.

I, the client named below, agree to the terms and conditions presented in this document.
