5 Ways to Spread the Love During a Pandemic <3

Updated: Apr 22

Let’s be honest, we all know special days and events have been a bit harder to celebrate during this pandemic, but we have a handful of ideas that can help you make this Valentine’s Day extra lovely...despite the situation in which we find ourselves. These ideas are all things you can do from the comfort of your home or even socially distanced with a couple of your best friends. Life truly is what we make of it, so let’s do everything we can to make it super!

1.

Facetime your special people! We are all created and wired for community, and some people really aren’t able to meet in person…so meet your people where they’re at, and be intentional with the time we have! Grab your girls, some roses, and a nice face mask to celebrate Galentine’s Day. Spread the love through technology!

2.

Send flowers or gifts straight to your loved one’s doorstep. Flowers are such a special treat to receive! Make your friend’s day by giving them a little gift, and this will be sure to show your love for them. Not only are you making someone smile, but you can also support local businesses by doing this... Win-win!

3.

Gather some friends and host a socially-distanced picnic, or host a virtual picnic on zoom! Everyone can bring their favorite snacks and drinks. Friends, family, sips, and eats…it doesn’t get much better than that! Intentionality truly is everything, and hosting something like this spreads the love in ways that are needed in a time like this.

4.

This one’s my favorite…Go old school! Grab a pen, paper, an envelope, and a stamp! Get to writing a love letter. This is the perfect place to show your appreciation and affection to those you love. There’s something so sweet about receiving a handwritten letter with a poem or words that reflect the heart of someone who cares about you.

5.

Lastly, here is a fun craft for you! Cut out 10-20 small paper hearts, and write “I love you because _____.” on each of them! Gather all of the cards, put them in a mason jar with a pink bow wrapped around it, and there you have it! The perfect Valentine’s gift that shouts all the reasons why you love your person.

Times like this can be tough not being able to truly celebrate the way you are used to, but there are so many creative ways to spread the love to those who have your heart. Join us by doing one (or more :) ) and let us know which you do!! Let’s spread the love!
